Hyundai Creta EV: The Next Big Thing in India's EV Market?
The Hyundai Creta EV, one of the most anticipated electric cars in India, is set to debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo in January. It will be underpinned by a modified version of the K2 architecture and feature a design inspired by the Hyundai Kona Electric.
The Creta EV will offer two battery pack options, with a range of up to 500 km on a single charge. It will also come equipped with a dual-screen setup, a 360-degree surround view camera, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.
Hyundai aims to leverage the success of the Creta SUV by bringing an electric version to the market. The Creta EV will compete with the Tata Curvv EV and the upcoming MG Windsor EV in the growing Indian electric vehicle segment.
The Creta EV's debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo highlights the increasing competition in the Indian EV market. Hyundai's entry into this space with a popular model like the Creta could attract a wider customer base and drive further adoption of electric vehicles in the country.
With the Creta EV's impressive features and competitive pricing, will it be able to carve out a significant share in the Indian EV market and challenge the dominance of established players like Tata and MG?
